I don’t know about you, but it seems like every year, when
it comes time to make a New Year’s resolution, mine always circulates around
getting organized and staying that way.
Most other years I would start off the first few weeks of the year doing
great, with a house and office that looks like it was cut out of a magazine.
But, somewhere around the first week of February, it’s as though I forgot my
resolution and everything is back to ‘normal’ again.
But, I think that 2014 is going to be different. I started
to realize what the biggest problem that I have when I try to keep myself
organized is, and that’s all the clutter and junk. While I might make a
conscious effort to keep my house clean and organized, the junk makes my
efforts fruitless after a while. So, I decided that the best way to make my
resolution stick next year is by renting a Santa Clara dumpster and doing a
purge of all the clutter in my home before I take on my resolution. That way,
staying organized will be easier when I’m not surrounded by things that are
broken and old items that aren’t used anymore.
I can tell you that 2014 is going to be the year that my
resolution actually sticks. I am going to be able to fulfill my New Year’s
